May Digest

Hi all!!

Good to see you and welcome (back). You probably have noticed I’ve not been putting out videos lately and there are some pretty obvious reasons for that: laziness (of course), but mainly lack of motivation. Div2’s Escalations aren’t really something I’ll make videos about to be honest, as it’s probably the most demanding content in terms of investment for most new players, and rightfully so; the mode is aimed at veterans who’ve sunken lots and lots of time into the game and are willing to push for just that last bit of gear improvement.

But that’s also exactly why I don’t feel like making videos on Escalations. It’s not really new player friendly. Sure, most of my videos aren’t really new player friendly since they require a fair bit of experience and game sense, but the goal is to have accessible builds being showcased in my videos and rely on skill to get consistent runs. The friendliness is on the gear investment. You can see why Escalations wouldn’t fit in my video portfolio.

That doesn’t mean I’ll stop playing or making videos on Div2 though. It’s just for the time being, until new content is added or something else changes that I want to cover. But for now, this stands.

…now onto this month’s games

Challenge run games

Planned

This will probably come as a big surprise.

  • Splinter Cell Blacklist. This is a return to form for the series, gives a lot more attention back to stealth gameplay. I think you guys will enjoy this one.
    • The goal for this one is a no death, no mission failure run of the entire campaign. I want to play it a few times and then come up with sensible challenges, but it’s really been a while so bear with me.

Upcoming (if I have time)

  • Saros. Basically Returnal 2, which is basically a sci-fi third-person shooter bullet hell roguelike. I’ll probably play this but only do a casual runthrough; I don’t like doing full runs for roguelike games.

Casual games

The usual.

  • Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. I can’t stop.
